Vietnamese Pho

Having grown from one branch on Reem Island to three locations in just a few years, Vietnamese Pho has a loyal following across all corners of Abu Dhabi. Offering authentic and reasonably priced Vietnamese food, Vietnamese Pho’s generous ‘small’ noodle soups start from just Dh30 ($8), and each one is packed with fresh veggies, high-quality meats and seafood (including beef, chicken and prawns), and lots of soul-soothing nutritious goodness. If you’re feeling under the weather and want something healthy yet tasty, each branch is wonderfully cosy and colourful. It also serves top-notch noodles, wontons, steamed fish, salads and summer rolls (a compulsory addition to every order).

Wandering Seagull Bakery

A small, hole-in-the-wall Afghan bakery below an amusingly misspelt ‘Wendering Seagull’ sign, this is the ultimate Abu Dhabi street food experience. Cooked to order right in front of you, the enormous, lighter-than-air breads are available stuffed with zataar, labneh, spicy potato (our preferred choice) and more tasty fillings for just Dh4 ($1). Cash only and rarely ever closed, Wandering Seagull Bakery is best enjoyed on a nearby bench in the midst of the constant hustle of Downtown.
Address: Tawi Mashrouk Street, Al Zahiyayh
