Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto met three members of Thailand’s influential Shinawatra family on Thursday to discuss investment opportunities, national asset management, and strategies for supporting Indonesia’s long-term economic growth.
The meeting, held at the headquarters of Indonesia’s sovereign wealth fund Danantara Indonesia, was attended by former Thai prime ministers Thaksin Shinawatra, Yingluck Shinawatra, and Paetongtarn Shinawatra.
“The meeting took place in a warm and cordial atmosphere, reflecting the close friendship that has developed over many years,” Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said in a statement.

Thaksin, who previously served as Thailand’s prime minister from 2001 to 2006, was recently appointed to Danantara’s advisory board.
According to Teddy, Thaksin exchanged views with Prabowo and Danantara executives on strengthening investment, optimizing the management of state assets, and promoting sustainable long-term economic growth.
The Cabinet Secretary said Indonesia will continue expanding engagement with international leaders and prominent global figures to strengthen strategic partnerships and broaden opportunities for international cooperation.
The meeting was also attended by Danantara Chief Executive Rosan Roeslani, Chief Operating Officer Dony Oskaria, and Chief Investment Officer Pandu Sjahrir.
