Indonesia secures 13 industrial MoUs at INNOPROM 2026

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Indonesia’s Ministry of Industry has secured 13 strategic Memorandums of Understanding at the INNOPROM 2026 industrial trade fair in Russia, aimed at reinforcing industrial downstreaming, unlocking investment, and expanding market access across Eurasia.

“Indonesia’s participation as a Partner Country at INNOPROM 2026 has strengthened our position in the Eurasian market,” Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said in a statement on Saturday.

“This is reflected in the high enthusiasm among international industry players seeking collaboration with our domestic sectors.”

During the exhibition, the Indonesian delegation held bilateral meetings with representatives from the governments of Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, and Tajikistan, as well as the Russian regions of Chelyabinsk, Kirov, and Sverdlovsk.

The discussions yielded various cooperation commitments spanning trade, downstreaming, industrial estate development, supply chain integration, technology transfer, and human resource development.

These pledges were subsequently formalized through the 13 signed accords involving both state and private sector actors.

The signed agreements include high-level frameworks between the Indonesian Ministry of Industry and the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, alongside targeted cooperation pacts with Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and the three participating Russian regions.

Kartasasmita emphasized that these agreements lay the foundation for strategic joint ventures in sectors ranging from manufacturing, heavy equipment, and metallurgy to the halal industry and trade enhancement.

Tri Supondy, the ministry’s Director General of Resilience, Regionalization, and International Industrial Access, stated that the successful negotiations demonstrate deep international trust in Indonesia’s industrial capacity.

“The various collaborations built through this event are expected to open up broader opportunities for investment, trade, and industrial partnerships that add value and strengthen the competitiveness of Indonesian manufacturing,” Supondy said.
