JAKARTA, June 22 (Xinhua) — The death toll from a traffic accident on a toll road in Indonesia’s North Sumatra province has risen to seven after three injured passengers died in the hospital, local media reported Monday.
The accident occurred early Sunday in Batu Bara regency when a travel bus carrying about 20 people crashed into a truck.
Four people were killed at the scene, while three others died while receiving treatment at a hospital.
Several other passengers were injured and remain under medical treatment, while police are investigating the cause of the crash. ■
