BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN – His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam is scheduled to attend the ASEAN-Russia Commemorative Summit from June 17-18, 2026 in Kazan, Russian Federation.
The Commemorative Summit – held on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of ASEAN-Russia relations – will be co-chaired by President of the Philippines Ferdinand R Marcos Jr as the Chair of ASEAN this year, and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, and will be joined by His Majesty and other ASEAN leaders.
The Commemorative Summit is expected to review the progress achieved under the ASEAN-Russia Comprehensive Plan of Action (CPA) for 2021-2025, chart the course for future cooperation, as well as renew the shared commitment to strengthening the ASEAN-Russia Strategic Partnership.
